Fitting a table on a page
A table with more than about eight columns will be cramped on portrait A4. Switch to landscape and drop the font size a point or two and most tables of twelve columns become readable.
Long values wrap rather than being cut off, so a row grows taller instead of losing text. That is almost always the right trade: a truncated value is worse than a tall row.
The text stays text
The table is drawn with real text rather than rendered to an image, so the PDF is searchable and the values can be selected and copied. That also means the data can be pulled back out later, which a screenshot in a PDF wrapper would not allow.
